Common FAQ's
Are pets allowed at the venue?
No sorry, we do not allow pets at our venue
Can we camp onsite?
Generally not, there is plenty of accommodation available on site, we may only allow it under particular circumstances. We have 2 neighbours with beautiful air b n b units.
Do we need to hire our own portaloos?
There are 5 fixed toilets at the venue which generally accommodate up to 200+ people. For events with very large numbers it is up to the client to hire more porta loos if they are required.
What does Shamrock Park not cater for?
Shamrock Park aims to cater for all equipment and facilities for a seated indoors dinner function for up to approximately 130-150 people. For seated dining above this the client will be required to hire a few extra table and chairs and outside dining or larger marquee may be required. Shamrock Park does not supply staff, caterers, plates & cutlery or general consumables like ice, table coverings and napkins, this is provided by the caterer or the client.
Are there kitchen and bar facilities at the venue?
Yes, absolutely! The large adjoining kitchen, barbeque and bar areas are perfect for either DIY catering or as facilities for caterers. The design has been well thought-out, there is a main inside bar and main outside bar, and plenty of scope and tables available to set up your own bar anywhere in the grassed area. We aim to have a rustic old caravan as a mobile bar available in Nov 2025.
Do you have games available?
What’s a party without games? There are plenty of games available including: Golf (200m fareway with large green and water feature), Petanque, Fooseball, Cornhole, Tug o War, Giant Jenga, backyard cricket, and we soon hope to offer croquet and giant chess. There is 4 hectares of parkland you can kick around any shaped ball you like.
Is there lighting, WiFi, internet and plenty of power available?
Yes, we have great inside and outside lighting, Wifi, internet connection, a screen and overhead projector and plenty of plugs for power available.
What is the stereo and music set up?
There is a high quality inhouse blue tooth stereo system with inside and outside speakers which is sufficient for all functions including weddings. We do not allow clients or guests to bring their own stereo/music systems.
Can we have bands and DJ’s at our event?
Bands and DJ’s are allowed for weddings only and they set up in a purpose built band stage adjoining the main venue room.
What time do we have to finish our function and leave the venue?
At 10.30pm the band, DJ and/or outside speakers must finish, loud and rowdy outside noise to quieten down or move inside. The inhouse stereo system can continue to be played at “moderate” volume. All guests not staying in Shamrock Park accommodation must have departed by midnight.
Who does the setup of the tables and chairs etc?
We set up any large or tricky items such as barleaners, lights, umbrellas to suit your requirements. Then tables and chairs are readily available on site and you set them up to your own requirement.
What tidying up do we have to do at the end of our event?
We ask that you place all glassware and kitchenware back into the kitchen, pick up any rubbish and recycling and place in the containers provided, remove any decorations or extras that you have put in place, and give the rooms a sweep. We wash all the glasses, remove the recycling and rubbish, mop the floors and wipe the surfaces. There is the option that the client walks out and leaves all tidying up to Shamrock Park, which is fine, but it comes with an extra fee depending on the size of the event.
